21st Century Literacy

Have a look. Are we addressing in our classes what it is to be literate in the 21st century? When watching this, it confirmed to me that our literacy programmes need to be wide and address a range of media, as our students are receiving information in a variety of forms these days. What are your thoughts?

Bullrush, Tackle Rugby

We hit the front page with the article on bullrush. It has created a lot of discussion. There is one comment that I don't agree with around students should be just learning for a decent career. Shift Happens

For those of you haven't seen this clip, have look. It really gets the mind ticking over. For me it has raisin many questions about the role of the teacher, the accessibility students now have to teachers, have our hours now increased to 24/7? Can we keep up? I know it is happening, how do we tackle it head on? I am interested to hear your thoughts, questions etc.
