ReplyDeleteI was also impressed when I spoke to your students. The four boys were all so different in ability and confidence, yet each had a good understanding of the process of setting success criteria, purpose for it, and wider applicationin the classroom.
I am glad you came to the conclusion you did about any class being able to use an established success criteria. Of course this is what most people are doing now, but what you are delving into with your inquiry creates so much more meaning and understanding of the task, than grabbing any generic matrix available. By students exploring the context and content means they indeed have a better understanding of the task and of course greater ownership of their learning and success.
